What a crazy past couple of weeks. I swear that August is just flying by, which is fine with me. I'm all ready for the cooler weather.
In the past few weeks, I've signed two contracts with Changeling Press. This is for a Halloween short and another one coming out for Christmas. Been editing and taking a bit of a break to catch up on my reading.
In the mean time, I have had to books released with Purple Sword Publications:
Frozen Hearts & Blazing Souls W/Siobhan Kinkade

to control.

sorcerer, Ning-Tse. Once Kyo discovers Tazu, he also finds himself
entranced by her quiet strength.
The sorcerer wants to exploit the power Tazu struggles to
conceal, but the two warriors who have fallen for her will stop at
nothing to keep her safe. The sorcerer’s insatiable greed sets the
prophecy in motion, placing Tazu and her dragons on a path toward war,

Hmm....2015
Dear 2014 where did you go? It seemed like you were just rolling around and then you were gone again. I'm not exactly sad to see you go, but in some ways I am and in others I'm not. A lot of stuff happened in the last twelve months.Let's see...Hubby and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. I finally got a new ring for it.
We learned and adapted to our dogs' needs with the inclusion of a new puppy in winter of 2013. Our lab turned ten and after a year and a few injections for her arthritis and she's been playing Frisbee again after a year and a half.
I took a major break from writing romance because I was getting burnt out on it. I finished up the projects I had but took a year off before I started anything new. For that whole of 2014 I focused on writing a horror series which the first of came out with Seventh Star Press entitled Death's Dance.
I then wrote books two and three of the series and have four outli0nes.
I have written two books in an Urban Fantasy series about a supernatural undertaker that I'm ... well we won't get into that, but they are not available to market at the moment. Book three is next on the list to start writing.
I have finished a short story for an anthology and if you know me, then writing short ( under 10k) is very difficult.

And then in November I started another book and wrote 104k words in a month and no I wasn't doing NANO which was more of a personal challenge really because I hadn't written like that in a long while due to the carpel tunnel in my hands and wrists, but I was able to get through it so I know I still got it.
The day job under went radical changes: moved offices, changed the name, worked more hours (a good thing since I'm somewhere between part time and full time), and hired/fired some people.
Personally, I went to the gym and then I didn't. So that was an epic fail, but I am going to jump back on that again and see how long I can go.
I got to spend time with my family and well then there's my mother...that's a novel in itself.
So that was 2014. I had some awesome friends to spend the year with, met some great people, had a few books released, got a few books back from a publisher, dealt with stuff with the husband that made me want to kick his ass and warn him never to do it again, and overall it wasn't a bad year.
So what's 2015 going to look like?
Well on the day job front... more hours I hope.
Messing with the dogs since they are my children.

Seeing two projects with two awesome co-authors come out.
At least three other books slated for release so far for the year.
Heading to Mid-South Con in Memphis March 20 to be a guest.
Heading to Austin, TX in May for Austin Author Affair.
Not sure on the other conventions coming up. I'll play it by how much money I have. LOL
I have a new series of m/m shorts I'm working on starting today.
Another book in a new series I'm working on with Siobhan Kinkade and one with
Anastasia Rabiyah.
So between everything else that comes up the plan is to finish at least 12-15 books for the year including shorts and all, but I hope it to be more.
Time with the husband and just enjoying life.
Have a rockin' 2015 folks because I know I am.

Excerpt:
I glanced down at my open shirt
and caught his gaze. A devilish smile slid across my lips as I brought my
finger to my mouth, licked it, and trailed it down my chest around my nipple. I
brushed the fabric away a little more and watched his face try to stay
impassive.
“I know you want it,” I
whispered. “I can smell your lust.” I crossed the distance between us and began
unbuttoning his shirt, pulling it out of his jeans. He stayed stock still, but
the bulge in his jeans belied his true feelings. I lifted my nose and ran it
along the side of his neck, taking in his scent. It was true; I could smell his
lust, and the aroma was intoxicating. My tongue dragged along the same line of
his throat, and in a final yank I pulled his shirt the rest of the way out. A
rip of fabric accompanied the tug. I looked down and saw a piece of his shirt
in my hands. I noticed that my nails were longer and sharper. My hand began to
shake as I stared at them. I shouldn’t have been able to tear his shirt with my
bare hands. It wasn’t like I was superwoman or anything. Something was wrong
with me. How could I smell this guy’s lust? I was not a bitch in heat.
I glanced up at him. My body
said I wanted him. My pussy was wet, and the need deep inside of me was an ache
I had never felt before, like an itch I couldn’t get, and it was getting more
uncomfortable the longer I denied it.
“Are you going to stop now?” he
asked as he grabbed my wrist again and held it lightly, unlike before. Pressing
himself against me, he mirrored my action about licking and smelling my neck. I
was falling under my body’s desire for this man.
“What’s happening to me?”
He didn’t bother to answer my
question, but unbuttoned my jeans and pushed them to my ankles with one hand
and then undid his own. He turned me around roughly and then bent me over the
back of his couch. Part of me wanted to purr and have him so deep inside me I
wouldn’t know when he would end, but another part was wondering what the fuck
was going on with me. Was I high? I didn’t know this guy from Adam. I felt him
grip my ass with both hands as he squeezed it. The pain brought me back to
myself.
“Do you want this?” I heard him
ask breathlessly.
“What?”
“Do you want me? I won’t take
you against your will, Margaret.”

Guest Post: Anastasia Rabiyah- In The Willow Woods-Oikoni Stone
My latest release is actually a re-release of the first erotic
romance I ever wrote. It's a story about a young native man who falls
for a woman who is not the same as him and doesn't belong to his tribe.
He goes against his father's wishes and tradition to meet the woman.
Once he's in her village though, he's soon captured and held against his
will by the young woman's cruel master.
In the Willow Woods weaves together magic and romance, blending in a
lot of historical tidbits from cultures around the world. It is loosely
based in a Viking era, but the underlying magic in the story gives it
something unique. It's a coming of age romance that is sweet despite its
eroticism. I hope readers will enjoy Nainie and Tiir's love story this
second time around.
My inspiration for writing this story came from watching a lot of
documentaries on native people. Culture, especially when it is people
who live close to the land and do not rely on modern day conveniences,
has always fascinated me. It's the simplicity of the hard work, the day
to day struggle to survive and the appreciation of life each day that I
find endearing. It is something those of us in modern day
entrapments can still relate to. Things go wrong, and we can either
accept that and keep at it, or give up. Despite the trials and failures
thrown in the paths of the hero and heroine in this story, they both
continue to push on and make the best of what they have.
In the process, they find love and friendship, family, a home they
build themselves, and a future full of possibilities. In the Willow
Woods is as timeless as a romance today.
Check out this and many other stories from me at: www.rabiyahbooks.com
BLURB:
Step into the magic of the Willow Woods where Nainie, the son of a dryad and a shadow spirit, has come of age to take a wife. He longs for the woman in white who lives across the river, but venturing beyond his clan’s boundaries is forbidden...and dangerous.
Even before their first kiss, Nainie knows Tiir is the only woman for him. The ripples in the river move toward her rather than away. Her eyes are like the lake when the noonday sun touches the water’s surface, blue and placid, bespeaking another place far from the stone city where she resides. She is different, but he feels she is the same as him—one who stands apart from those of her clan.
They come from different worlds—his, a wilderness life of magic, promiscuity, and cultural hierarchy—hers, a mysterious stone walled village he is not allowed to enter. After gathering his courage, he crosses the wall and finds himself in a cold, ordered world of slavery to a cruel master. Ensnared in her master’s hold and unable to get word to Tiir that he is being held captive, Nainie must rely on the kindness of strangers to plan his escape and find her again.
Nainie crossed his hands in his lap and leaned forward, watching the mysterious woman from his vantage, hidden among the draping branches of a willow. Sea green leaves caressed his bare arms and tickled his back. His thick strands of looping black hair waved in the light breeze, forcing him to brush aside tendrils that fell in his eyes and shrouded his view. He dropped his hand and squinted at her pale brilliance. The woman wore white, a swathe of pale cotton fabric that hugged her curves and covered her so much that it offered her modesty—a rare thing in his clan. Every morning he ran from his village in the willow woods and climbed this same tree, his bare feet gripping the gnarled trunk and his fingers lodging in each available crevice until he reached this same lookout. I wish I knew her name. A smile lifted the corners of his mouth.
She knelt beside the river, her eyes downcast and her honey-colored hair drifting just as unruly in the breeze as his. The woman pulled the leather strap from her shoulder and dipped her head beneath it in order to retrieve the clay jug balanced on her back. The ripples across the river moved toward her rather than away, a small detail that entranced him.
Nainie puckered his lips in a wind whisper when the side of her fabric wrap fell off her left shoulder, revealing more of her fair skin and the top of her small, round breast. She dipped the jug into the water and waited. The water filled fast. After pulling the jug free, she wiped the lip with delicate fingers. The woman adjusted her clothing, hiding her body, and he pouted at the loss of such a tempting view.
Beyond the white plastered wall, her clan called to her in feminine voices and Nainie sighed, disappointed. She would go, as she always did, and he’d not see her until the following morning.
He swung his bare feet in mid-air, waiting for her to hurry along the stone-lined path. Her clan is unusual, he decided. People should live in the open, not behind rocks.
When she disappeared beyond the high berry bushes, he slid forward and dropped to the ground, landing with ease on the thick blanket of leaves covering the willow wood floor. The tassels on the edges of his loincloth tickled his legs. He glanced over his shoulder. The stone path the woman took wound away from the river’s edge, and he could see the smooth prints her sandaled feet left behind. “Strange,” he whispered. “If I separated my skin from the earth, how would I know what lay beneath me?”
He shrugged and ran his hand through his hair. “Tomorrow,” he said to the breeze. He knew he wouldn’t approach the woman. The thought always dwindled and vanished when he returned home to his own clan. He twisted his arms, stretching his waist before he burst into a steady run.
Willow branches whipped past him like leaf-crusted snakes. He dodged them, his bare feet soundless over the ground. Chasing his shadow all the way home came as second nature just as his ability to blend with and become a creature of shadows. Nainie was not like the others in his clan; he couldn’t shift into the shape of trees although he could hear their voices on the winds. He longed to find a woman like him, one who stood apart as he did.
Soon he smelled the single fire in the bointpit. He slowed and inhaled the scents of his clan, tanned leathers, roasting meat, and the sweet perfume of the maidens who wove jaiga flowers into their hair. Nainie stopped at the edge of the village.
Three longhouses made of wood and mud mixed with fallen leaves stood around the bointpit. In time, he knew he would stand there and take his first wife. He blushed at the thought and wondered who his father would choose. I want the river girl, he thought. His body burned at the thought of her. He clenched his fists and frowned. What would it be like to taste her lips? To touch her skin?
