Changes

Over the past month there have been lots of changes in my life. The end of January, I walked into work and was told I no longer had a job. At the time, hubby wasn't fully back to work yet since he does landscaping.
We were wondering how in the world we were going to deal affording a new roof.

Well I ended up, getting a part time job working from home so I could do much more writing, but it is still in the same profession as my old job. So far so good with it. We were able to work out with our insurance company so we got a new roof and then dryer died. Got a new one of those.

Hubby is finally back to working since the weather is warmer. I'm writing up a storm and the plan for the year is to finish up things. So far so good on that front. House of Moon Dark I started almost two years ago. Now on to the vampire serial killer that have. The goal is to write a book a month, but I strive to do more.

My thoughts these days have been turning back to friends that I was close to in high school and to see how far I've come from them whereas life marches on and some of them I don't hear from any more. We drift apart and our lives change, but they are still in my heart.

When I look back and think about everything I am grateful for all those who have been my friends and helped me with the changes that I've through.

Seems like when it rains, it pours, doesn't it? Have to say, I got laid off in June and it has been the best thing ever for my career.
A book a month sounds ambitious. Good luck!

Some of us grow while others add the apart despite our best efforts until the effort is just an unanswered sorrowful echo.

Roof, dryer, writing. Other people's changes always seem so much simpler than our own, hmm? I guess that's the way. It's good you found a new job that allows you to do more of what you love.

You're not forgotten, but some of us thought we were.
