Coming Soon: Falling - Soul Reaper Series

Hey everyone, Falling is going to be re-released on Wend with Purple Sword. Check out this sneak peak of what is to come.

BLURB:

Brenna thought being a vampire was difficult, but becoming an angel is even harder. Her desires run hot and cold. Everything she knows is falling down around her while she yearns for her soul mate.

Azrael forces himself to dismiss Brenna's forlorn cries. To go to her would ignite an angelic war. To make matters worse, a dark force is rising from the bowels hell and the devil has his eye on one thing. Ruling over everything and creating a paradise for his demons.

In order to learn her new powers and save the world, Brenna must travel to the outer reaches of the galaxy and confront her inner demons. Will the world be saved? Will Brenna face the darkest evil of all? Or will the whole of humanity be damned for all time?

Excerpt:
I emerged from the shadows and found Zhen feeding on a mortal she’d tied next to her bed. She sucked greedily on his neck, but he was lost in the haze of her mind. The sight held me transfixed for a second. Then I turned away, waiting for her to finish before the sight roused my buried desires.

“You took your time getting here.” She wiped her mouth. “I didn’t think you’d come. You never did when I needed you.”

The contempt in her voice was harsh. She still resented me for abandoning her ages ago.

“Why did you summon me?”

She stepped close and stared into my eyes. I tried to find some of the human girl I’d helped still inside her, but none remained. Centuries had transformed her into the hardened thing she was. Zhen motioned me over to a torn-up couch, where an old quilt was thrown haphazardly over the seat. Anger burned in me. The wound in my hand began to sleep. Even Michael’s wound on my cheek throbbed from my body repairing the damage.

“An old quilt? Sharika?”

“No, Azrael.” Sharika moved a portion of the blanket back and revealed a wizened and yellowed corpse. Its teeth stood out against thin, drawn lips. The skin was dry and sunk to the bone. The muscle and tissue had slowly begun to decompose. Wisps of hair clung to the head. It reminded me of a thousand-year-old mummy.

“It’s a corpse. Is its soul trapped? I don’t feel one. What’s the fuss?”

Sharika traced her finger over the corpse’s face. Her expression betrayed a deep sense of loss. Tears laced her eyes when she met my gaze. “Master.” She hadn’t called me that in eons. Whoever this corpse was, it meant something important to her.

I wiped a tear from her cheek and wrapped my wing around her for comfort. It helped a little. I checked back on the corpse and caught the faint movement of its eyelids. The mummy was still alive. The more I stared, the more its features came to life in my mind. I ran my hand over the body, settling above its—her—heart. Her aura, the energy field that kept her body going, had dwindled down to nothing. I could barely feel Brenna’s soul. It was as if she’d taken herself out of existence.

“How?”

Zhen shook her head. “She’s been calling for you. She thought you abandoned her. When you didn’t answer, her grief ate away at her soul. Last week, she came to me and asked me about going to ground. She practically shut down here. I found her two days ago in a field. I’ve never known the effects of hibernation to be this bad. Not even after my thousand-year sleep. My blood didn’t rouse her. She needs you, Azrael.

“I know why you keep her away,” Zhen continued, “but she’s so fragile, still so human. After all she’s been through and what she’s becoming, you discarded her. After you turned me, at least I had an idea of what I could do. You have to help her.”

“Tell your nest to leave. All of them. I can’t have them pressing on my consciousness.”

She didn’t say anything, but I felt her mental command echo through the walls. Zhen would do as I ordered in this case. I was still her Master, even though that part of me had been pushed behind walls long ago.

I peeled the quilt back slowly and examined Brenna more carefully.I damned myself for not answering Brenna, for turning her away. I placed my hand on her chest and closed my eyes, trying to find the void where she’d sent herself. I sensed a faint trace of her, far away in a dark emptiness. Nothing existed there. I wound my power around her and began to pull her back. But each time I grew close to her, she’d pull away again, drifting back to oblivion.

I tried several times and finally gave up.

I knelt next to Brenna and watched her body slowly disintegrating. Never before had I seen a hibernating vampire in this condition. My love was dying and avoiding my reach. I was Death, but somehow she’d accessed her powers and drifted away from me. Zhen was correct. Brenna was more human than I’d ever imagined. On the verge of losing her, I realized what the Source had meant when she’d said my emotions could justify a war. I loved Brenna. It was that simple. I needed her for balance to help remember what I had been.

All vampires were hungry when they woke from hibernation. I bit into my wrist and had to force Brenna’s mouth open, since it was locked shut. I held the wound over her lips so blood slid down her throat. For a long time, nothing changed. My incision kept healing over. I reopened the wound six times, always going deeper to get more blood. The loss of fluid didn’t bother me. At last, I saw an inkling of her throat swallowing. I heard the creak and crack of bone moving. Mummified hands wrapped around my wrist with a strength I hadn’t expected. Razor nails enclosed my flesh and sliced the veins. A paper-thin tongue lapped at the wound. It kept going, and there was no sign of Brenna.

The sucking stopped. Brenna’s hand released mine. She had drained me dry. My hunger burned in me, fiercer then I remembered. My teeth slipped out of my gums, and I smelled the human next to Zhen’s bed. I wanted to break Brenna’s hold and go feed from him, but if I did so, I would snap her flesh. She was almost restored; yet her soul still lingered outside of my grasp. I stared at the human. He would ease my pain, but I bit down and forced the vampire in me back. I was an angel. I didn’t need blood, didn’t need to kill. I kept repeating that truth, and it seemed to help. My hunger receded to a dull ache. My teeth retracted, and I was all right again. Then Brenna moved.

Hope you liked this look into Falling. The Apocalypse is coming and Azrael and Brenna must come together once and for all to beat back the Devil and hopefully accept the love they have for one another.

Excerpt:

The blades of grass crunched under my feet from the frost on them. Heat waves from an aura blazed against my back. The smell of the thief, unwashed, too much cologne, and greasy hair came to my nose along with steel and gunpowder. His heartbeat doubled the closer he got to me. He thought he could sneak up on me and get my wallet. Maybe a little bit more. The would-be robber’s aura shifted while he made up his mind if he wanted to use his gun or his hands. The scent of his desire spurred my hunger. My teeth shifted. An overwhelming desire to show him my true form over took me, but I held that in check. I was not a monster and wouldn’t lose my humanity to the beast. I opened my mind to the killer so I would hear his thoughts better.
Gotta have something. I need it bad. Oh yeah, this bitch is gonna be sweet. I’ll get her money, do her, and then I can get some more rock. Maybe I should shoot her and then fuck her. Turn around, bitch! Turn around. I want to see your face when you stare down the barrel of my gun. That’s right. All I need is one more hit and I can get through tomorrow.
This guy was so dead. His gun wouldn’t do anything to me and I’d make Swiss Cheese of his brain in five seconds flat once he gazed into my eyes. Ten seconds if my thoughts pushed into his brain. I ran my tongue over my teeth willing them in for now.
“Hey, bitch!” He cocked the gun. His excitement blanketed him. It made me giddy. If he only knew what he was getting himself involved with. I turned slowly playing the sweet and innocent part. After all, I was a woman out on my own in the middle of the night. Women were helpless at least that was the age-old adage. One I had used to my advantage over the years. I tried to appear shocked and scared. His gun glinted in the moonlight.
“Please don’t hurt me,” I whimpered. He enjoyed my fear.
“Give me your wallet.”
“Sorry. I don’t have one.” I stepped forward. Confusion crossed his mind before it hit his face.
“Give me whatever you have then. Come on. Fuck. Hurry up.” He motioned with his free hand.
I smiled. He was so mine. This time I didn’t care if I dropped a body and left it for the cops to find. He was pissing me off and I was hungry again. I looked him up from his feet, ragged and holey shoes, torn jeans that had seen one too many park benches, a dirt, sweat stained shirt, and slowly worked up over his scraggly beard. The wrinkles around his eyes were a roadmap of his life. He wasn’t very old but he’d seen one too many sleepless nights hooked on crack and whatever drugs he could get his hands on. His eyes were dreary gray, the color of the Northern sea by my old home in England. Once my gaze met his all of his willpower drained away.
“Put the gun down, Larry.” I gleaned his name from his thoughts. The weapon in his hand wavered. “You don’t want to hurt me. You know I have nothing for you. Don’t you?”
“Yes.”
His eyes widened. I licked my lips. I used more of my mental whammy on him then I had on the pizza guy. I had to be more careful with this guy. His heart rate dropped. I stepped closer. He didn’t move. His gun hung limply at his side.
“Good boy. Now come to me.”
He stepped forward again. Before he came into my arms, he was tackled and thrown to the ground. Our connection snapped. I snarled. There went my meal. My would-be attacker was wrestling with someone. I’d been so caught up in my prey I hadn’t sensed anyone else around. I started to mold the shadows around me, but if I disappeared it would confuse my hero. Is every girl helpless at three in the morning?
“I said shut up!” My hero chocked the gunman who was out cold. The man stood up towering over me. I came up to mid-chest if I was lucky. He was tan, square jawed, and had deep intense eyes. They held a lot, but I didn’t try and read him. It was hard enough to play nice and mortal while not wanting to tear out his throat, but I could easily throw him down and fuck him for a few rounds. We’ll see how well he can be thrown around by little old me. Maybe he’ll even enjoy it.
“Miss, are you okay?” His gaze searched my face.
I nodded trying to act frightened that someone had assaulted me. “Yes. Thank you. Oh my God! He was going to kill me.” I stared wide-eyed into my hero’s face. His big smile softened his features.
“Well, he won’t be hurting you now. What were you doing out here all by yourself? It’s dangerous for a woman to be alone in the Common at this hour. You’re not from here are you?”
I glanced at the man on the ground. The bouquet of his blood filled my nose. My mouth watered. So much going to waist. “I’m from New York. I haven’t been to Boston in ages.”
“Are you staying with anyone? Can I walk you to your hotel?”
Oh great. This is all I need a real chivalrous man. “Thank you for your concern and all, but I’ll be fine really.”
“You don’t have a place to stay, do you?”
I opened my mouth and then shut it. Tobias would let me in. I knew that. Besides I didn’t have to sleep when the sun was up. It would sap my strength, but I’d be okay. I shrugged. I hung my head. “No. My friends aren’t home and I don’t have a key. I have no clue when they’ll be back.”
He looked around weighing his options. He didn’t want to leave me out here alone and stranded. I didn’t have to look into the future to know what he would say next. “Well…I have a spare room. You can stay the night. No strings of course.”
Of course.

Excerpt:

He sighed and went to the window, staring out into the night. Outside the moon was almost swollen. Was it, too, waiting for the precious words that needed to be said between us? I didn’t bother to pick up my robe, but instead sought warmth from the man who I desperately needed to know cared for me. I wrapped my arms around Elijah’s waist and rested my forehead against his back because I wasn’t tall enough to reach his shoulders. My face was buried in his hair. It smelled of peppermint. I never realized he actually cared for it, or how silky he kept his hair. There was so much I never knew about him. So much I had never thought to ask. Amazing how time can make you wonder and do things you never thought possible before.
He tensed up, but his yearning was evident in his taut muscles. I bit my lip and decided to try something I had never thought of before. If I could use my ability to move objects even when I was asleep, why not use my power to touch others? It was just an extension of my gift. Just a little less power, and more concentration. Closing my eyes, I pictured his face in my mind, and with a little push of my gift, I saw myself caressing his cheek. A shudder took him when I used my power to see myself kissing him, trailing caresses down his neck.

I pictured my hands all over him, touching his flesh. I went one step further and saw my mouth on his shaft, slowly going down on him. He uttered a moan and tensed even further; whatever I was doing was working.

“Stop. Please. Before we both regret what will happen.” He tried to shrug me off. A barrier surrounded his thoughts. He shut my power down, and I felt alone. The wall was cold and dark.

“No. Turn around and face how you feel. For over a decade I’ve barely lived. Part of me has been frozen. You said you weren’t made from stone. Well, neither am I and for years, I’ve felt that way, but when I’m with you I can be alive and I don’t have to deny my feelings. I don’t have to hide. Can you say the same?”

He turned around slowly and met my gaze where his burned slightly red. “If you stay, I’ll do things to you. I can’t guarantee your safety or your life.”

I touched his cheek and brushed my lips to his. I would not be denied this time.
Wrapping me in his arms, he crushed me to him. His lips and tongue worked against my throat where he bit and suckled, but never broke the skin. His palms enclosed my breasts over the satin of my nightgown. I moaned against him. My nails dug into the flesh of his back. His lips found my nipple; it was already hard in his mouth. I was already wet, and I had dreamed of this for years. He suckled for a moment. He was tearing at the cloth of my nightgown. He had me bare and before I knew it, he had two fingers inside my wet pussy while his thumb rubbed over my clit. The sudden movement made me jump. I heard the bed echo my surprise, but God, it felt good. And I wanted more of him.

I pressed my lips to his, feeling the bone hardness of his fangs under his lips and with my tongue. His fingers moved deeper inside of me and his thumb and other finger moved lightning quick. I found my knees were wobbling and Elijah was holding me up. His eyes studied my face. I was coming close to the edge.

“You have to stop teasing me,” I said in between moans.

“I told you I didn’t know what I would do to you.” He leaned in and crushed his lips to me, but it was too late. I could barely hold in my groans, and I gave in to his manipulations and came.

I wanted him inside of me. Elijah must have read my thoughts because he scooped me up and laid me back on the bed, settling himself on top of me. My hands found his ass. My tongue snaked into his mouth., caressing his fang. On purpose I nicked it on the point. The vampire growled and raised his head. His eyes were dilated red. His face was thinner, and his cheeks showed his bones. I felt his hard length against my belly. His eyes bored into mine, and he waited to see what I would do. Waiting to see if I was afraid of him, or if I would push him away again? Instead I grabbed his hand, kissing the inside of his wrist, nipping at the spot over his vein. Elijah’s eyes fluttered shut. My teeth dug a little deeper, and then he came back to himself.
This was what I had wanted. Heat soared through me. I felt my power move out of me and slam the door shut and lock it.

“Do I scare you?”

“No,” I leaned up and pulled him down to me. “I need you inside of me. Please.”

“God, Kaylynn. I could crush you. I could kill you. I could—”

“No. You’re nothing like that.”

He ran his hands over my breasts, and then his lips. His fangs caressed my hard nipples. He was careful not to draw blood. His tongue flicked over the hard nodules and the other hand ran along my inner thigh, tickling the sensitive flesh. Each butterfly kiss made it harder to resist, and I began pushing myself against him. He chuckled softly and for a quick moment, left me cold while he slipped out of his pants. Once he did, he straddled me.

Well all. I hope that you enjoyed this little tidbit and want to delve into my vampire world. As you can see I love to sink me teeth into the undead. Hope you do too.

Moonrise Release from loveyoudivine Alterotica!

Hi Everyone,

Join me in celebrating my new short, Moonrise, out today with loveyoudivine.

It’s only at moonrise that he can be reunited with his eternal love.

BLURB:

Laura has been searching for Horus for centuries. In her dreams they are together, but in real life her heart howls for him.

It’s only when they meet by chance that he helps her discover her true nature.

Excerpt:

My fingers touched the side of his face. I peered into his deep eyes. “Think back, my beloved. We’ve been tied together for centuries. I’ve desired to see you. I’ve hunted for you over lifetimes, and now I’ve found you.”

His dark eyes widened. “You must have me mistaken for someone else. I’m only here to gratify you.”

I sighed. He didn’t remember. But that was okay. I could rekindle his deep memories and make him worship me the way he did before. I kissed him lightly. My other hand slipped over his shaft. His eyes closed in ecstasy. Even if he didn’t recall our lives together, his soul was trained to do whatever I wished. My tongue parted his sensuous lips. I palmed his balls. He remained still, melting against me, yearning to touch me, but afraid to. His hands clenched. He wondered what came next.

“No, Horus. I haven’t mistaken you. Eons ago we shared the same lives. Back when the pyramids were new.

The Sphinx was recently carved. Pharaohs ruled the land and gods were the ones we answered to.”

“Please, Mistress. Don’t tempt me if you don’t plan to use me. I am your slave.”

Sadness gripped me. He was not my servant for lovemaking or otherwise. He was my soul mate. “You are not. Does it make you uncomfortable that I say these things?”

He glanced down and lifted his hands. “You have me restrained. If I am to pleasure you, these will not let me. You are a great woman of this house. Only you choose who goes into your bed. It’s an honor to be here.”

I waved my hand. The chains clattered to the floor. He flexed his fingers and rubbed his wrists. His smile widened. Before too long he couldn’t resist the temptation. His palms slipped up over the boning of my corset, taking my breasts in his hands. A shiver went through me. He watched my expression while his fingers tweaked my nipples until they were harder than stone. I was wet from the thought of what was to come. I moaned softly. The serpents on my arms tightened. I reassured them I was not in danger. I rubbed my hand over his head. It was smooth. He squeezed my nipples harder. I craved more from him.
“Do you think you can satisfy me, Horus?”

He glanced up. His pink tongue laved the hollow between my breasts. Horus focused on the five puncture wounds around my heart. Finally, he broke his kisses. “What gave you these wounds?”
I rested my fingertips under his chin and made him stand. He was taller than me. I had forgotten that. “The clawed hand of a werewolf. For initiation into their pack I had to be bathed in blood.”

Hope you all are titilated to check it out.

Can you Capture an Angel?

How would you Capture an Angel?

 Buy Link

Tagline: There was only one hunter skilled enough to capture her.

Blurb:

Christa has been taking photos for years, and she’s finally gotten her big break. However, everyone wants a piece of her including Bastian, her ex-boyfriend. One night while she’s walking home, she’s attacked and her savior is a hunk of a man. The only problem is, she really isn’t looking for a relationship.

Ethan saves Christa and can’t get her out of his mind. He’ll do anything to save her even if it means making her like him. Will he keep her safe from Bastian? Or will Christa find herself captured?

Excerpt:

I opened my eyes, got up, and walked over to the photograph. It was one of my favorites. All you saw was half of my face reflected in the mirror, my arms covered my tits, as well as my nude back with the tattooed wings that I had for years. It was black and white and reminded me of something out of a gothic novel. The look on my face was forlorn. I didn’t remember what I’d been thinking, but that time in my life I had no one to turn to. My father had just remarried, and I wanted warm arms to surround me. Even now that would be a welcome distraction. Bastian was toast, and it would be good to have someone in my life that didn’t want me just for money.

“The model is beautiful.”

I froze, hearing the velvet voice behind me. It was the same guy who tried to pick me up outside. Great. Just great. “Thanks.” I turned slowly and to find the same guy who had rescued me the other night. My mouth dropped. Oh shit! I was flabbergasted.

He smiled. I glimpsed something in his eyes that was almost like longing while he took in the photo. “You’re most welcome.”

“Look about outside. I didn’t know it was you.”

“Don’t worry about it. You looked like you needed another hand. That’s all.”

“Thank you. I appreciate the thought. Ethan, right? I think the gallery’s closed for the night. If you’re interested in my work, maybe we can set up a meeting or something.”

He smiled smugly. His hair was more silver than blond, and he had paler skin than I thought. He was wearing dark slacks and a red silk shirt. His eyes were glacier blue. This would be the guy to throw down on the floor and have a good time with. I can ride him silly. Those calves and those arms would sure give me a work out. He’d tell me he loved to be ridden and then he would take me all night long. Blood rose to my cheeks as I thought about him on top of me, my fingers running over his smooth chest. I’d mess up that perfect hair, and he’d want me to call out his name. He’d make me feel so damn good.

“Hey, Ethan. How’s it going, sweetie?” Millicent purred behind me, bringing me out of my lustful thoughts.

“Hello, Millicent. The show was a complete success. The only print that didn’t go was this lovely one, but I think the artist is more beautiful in person.”

“Didn’t I tell you, girl. She didn’t believe me. You’re gonna be a star with all the business you got tonight. I got numbers for potential clients that want to look at the rest of your portfolio. Thanks for letting us use the space, Ethan. You’re the hottest thing in town right now.”

“It’s not a problem. I was in-between shows, and you’ve done me plenty of favors in the past. It was the least I could do. I was hoping that I could buy this copy for myself. If that’s okay?”

Millicent cracked a smile, and I only stared at the two of them. “Back it up a sec. Y-you own this place?” I stammered.

Ethan nodded.

“Hey, I’m sorry about the other night. It was late, and I just wanted to get home. Thanks again for getting that dickhead off me.”

“It wasn’t a problem. I’m always glad to help a woman in need.”

“You guys know each other?” Millicent asked.

“We met the other night when she was in need of assistance.”

“Shit, girlfriend why didn’t you tell me you knew E.”

“Millicent, I really don’t know him. He saved me after this gansta wannbe-asshole jumped me.”

“My, my, a match made in heaven,” Millie purred.

“Shut up, bitch.” I growled.

“Mmm-hmm."

Ethan smiled at the exchange as Millicent put her hand on her hip, giving me the best drag pose he could muster.

“Thanks for the gallery and all. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. You can have the picture for everything you’ve done.”

“You’re gift is well received. Thank you. Now, ladies, I think we should call it a night.”
